My biggest challenge is that I personally also use Google Maps to find restaurants and food spots, especially when I'm on vacation or business trips. The alternatives, such as OpenStreetMap, are basically fine, but my personal experience is that the discovery aspect doesn't really work well there. Another alternative, Apple Maps, is also not as good quality-wise, and on top of that has now announced that ads will be shown in Apple Maps starting with the next iOS version.
